Meili Snow Mountain rarely reveals its full beauty, but at Xueda Village in Foshan Township, Deqin—3600 m above sea level—you can see its complete reflection in Xueda Lake. Once a key stop on the Tea Horse Road and a Tibetan salt trade hub, the village features a “Three Teachings” ancient Gon Monastery and a peaceful community of 12 households living openly and freely. Stay overnight to experience sunrise, sunset, and starry skies in this serene, almost mythical Shangri-La.
