Day 1: Arrival in Mt Bromo
Arrive in Surabaya and Journey to Mt. Bromo (3 hrs)
When you arrive at Juanda International Airport, the Starhunter Indonesia Team will welcome you warmly and take you on a scenic 3-hour drive to Mount Bromo Homestay, nestled in the stunning Mount Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
Mentigen Sunset/Sunraise/Milkyway Astroscape Workshop
In the evening, make your way to Mentigen Hill, just a short 20-minute walk from the homestay, for a stunning sunset view of Mount Bromo. This prime vantage point offers the perfect opportunity to capture the mountain’s rugged beauty as the golden light of the setting sun paints the landscape. It’s an ideal moment to apply the sunset landscape techniques you’ve learned into practice, refining your skills while immersing yourself in the breathtaking scenery. Afterward, head back to the hotel to relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

Day 02: Seruni Hill Sunrise/Stargazing
The journey begins at 02:00 with a short drive to Seruni Point, followed by a 30-minute hike up Seruni Hill. Under the silence of the night, we arrive at the summit to witness a sky filled with stars—capturing and enjoying the beauty of the universe until sunrise at 08:00.
After returning to the homestay for breakfast and rest, the adventure continues in the afternoon. At 15:00, we take a jeep ride to Penanjakan Hill, followed by a motorbike journey to Argowulan Hill. There, we capture the breathtaking sunset before immersing in a full night of stargazing and astrophotography. A full-day journey where nature, adventure, and the cosmos come together.

Day 03: Camping at Argowulan Hill
From 05:00–06:00, we witness one of the most magical moments at Mount Bromo—a breathtaking sunrise over the volcanic landscape. A popular viewing spot is Argowulan Hill, offering panoramic views across the Seruni township. Be sure to wear your Starhunter dawn warm jacket—the temperature can drop significantly, with strong winds before sunrise.
After breakfast, we ride by motorbike back to the jeep parking area, then return to the homestay for a well-deserved rest.

Mt Bromo Crater Adventure
Climbing the crater of Mount Bromo is a unique and accessible adventure—perfect even for beginners. After an exciting 30-minute journey across the dramatic Sea of Sand in a 4WD vehicle, you’ll arrive at the base of the volcano. From there, it’s a short and manageable ascent via a staircase leading up to the crater rim.At the top, you’ll be rewarded with an unforgettable view straight into an active, smoking volcano. The rumble beneath your feet, combined with the strong scent of sulfur rising from the crater, creates a raw and powerful reminder of nature’s force.

Day 04: Madakaripura Waterfall
Madakaripura Waterfall
After leaving Mount Bromo and heading down to Probolinggo Regency, travelers can explore the breathtaking Madakaripura Waterfall situated within the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. This waterfall is believed to be the final meditation spot of the military Commander-in-Chief, Gajah Mada, from the Majapahit Kingdom in East Java.Known as the “eternal waterfall,” it consistently showers blessings upon those fortunate enough to stand beneath it. It’s truly a magnificent sight to behold.

Seruni Point, nestled in Ngadisari, Probolinggo, Indonesia, is a breathtaking sunrise viewpoint that offers an unparalleled view of the majestic Mount Bromo. Situated about 2,400 meters above sea level, this serene location provides visitors with a front-row seat to the spectacular sunrise over the volcanic landscape. As the first light of day paints the sky, Seruni Point also offers the rare opportunity to capture the stunning Milky Way rising from the nearby Seruni Farm, a perfect blend of nature’s beauty and cosmic wonder.

DSO Hand On Workshop Part 2
We’ll guide you through everything—from understanding your astrophotography rig, setting up and aligning your equipment, to targeting specific celestial objects and shooting long-exposure images. You’ll become familiar with each component of your setup and gain confidence in operating it effectively in the field.

Southern DSO Workshop Part 3
You’ll learn how to process your images like a pro, turning raw captures into stunning astrophotography masterpieces using post-processing techniques trusted by experienced astrophotographers. This includes learning how to stack your images to reduce noise and enhance detail using powerful software tools like DeepSkyStacker (DSS), Siril, and PixInsight. Step by step, you’ll understand how to align, calibrate, and bring out the hidden beauty in your deep-sky photos—transforming what you captured in the field into gallery-worthy results.
DSO Hand On Workshop Part 4
