Starhunter Workshop for Starhunter Beginners/Hobbyists

This immersive Starhunter Workshop is designed for beginners and hobbyists who are passionate about capturing the beauty of the night sky. Each session is thoughtfully structured to guide participants through the art and technique of astrophotography, combining easy-to-follow instruction with hands-on practical experience.

Whether you’re aiming to photograph the majestic sweep of the Milky Way, the dramatic beauty of sunrise or sunset over Mount Bromo, or the intricate details of deep-sky objects in the southern night sky, this workshop provides the essential skills, techniques, and guidance to help you achieve stunning results.

To ensure a more focused and effective learning experience, the workshop is divided into three groups based on different astrophotography setups and skill levels. Participants can choose the group that best matches their equipment and experience, allowing for a more personalized and rewarding journey into astrophotography.

Group A – Milkyway Nightscape Workshop

JULY 9–13, 2026 |
📍 Mount Bromo Road Trip

Designed for those who are passionate about capturing the beauty of the night sky and landscapes in a single frame, the Nightscape Workshop focuses on wide-field milky way techniques. Participants will learn how to plan and compose stunning Milky Way shots, balance exposure between foreground and sky, and master essential skills such as star tracking, landscape composition, and star trail shooting. This session is ideal for beginners and hobbyists looking to create impactful nightscape images with minimal equipment.

Group B – Deep Sky Object (DSO)

 This session covers the fundamentals of deep-sky astrophotography, including telescope setup, mount alignment, target selection, and data acquisition for objects such as nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters.Participants will also be introduced to image calibration and processing techniques using PixInsight, enabling them to produce detailed, high-quality deep space images.deal for beginners and hobbyists who own a complete astrophotography setup and are ready to capture under clear, dark skies.

Group C – Seestar s50/s30/s30pro

This session focuses on practical, hands-on experience—covering setup, smart alignment, target selection, and automated image capture for objects like nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters.articipants will also learn basic image processing and enhancement techniques using mobile and desktop workflows, enabling them to produce impressive deep-sky images with minimal setup and technical complexity.Ideal for beginners and hobbyists who own a Seestar.
